Barbeque, Texas style, from hickory logs includes pork
ribs, beef brisket, pulled pork, chicken, turkey and
salmon, every day. Reservations available for eight or
more with “family style” dining. To avoid a wait and save
time, takeout is always available. Don’t forget to try our
retail food products. Catering is available on fairly short
notice.
Steamboat's Original Western Style BBQ Buffet at the top of the Steamboat gondola. Come on up and enjoy an all-you-can-eat Family Style BBQ Buffet featuring slow-cooked prime rib, and falling-off-the-bone ribs with a full service bar.
A Shindig Fit for the Whole Darn Family. Western BBQ features dancing and live Entertainment by local rock and country band 'Sun Dog' til 10:00 pm. Music begins at 7:00PM. Enjoy a ride on the Steamboat Gondola and experience an evening of western hospitality plus an outstanding view of the Yampa Valley below.
Reservations are required as seating is limited. Groups over 25 call for reservations. In the case of extreme weather, the Gondola may have to be closed for evening on-mountain dining activity. If this is the case, rescheduling or refunds will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Hours
The Western BBQ offers evening dining Friday through Sunday from December 18th through March 27th, with additional holiday evenings. Gondola boarding times are available at 6:00pm, 6:30pm and 7:00pm, except for New Year's Eve when you can board at 7:00pm, 7:30pm and 8:00pm.
Location
The Western BBQ is located at the top of the Thunderhead and is accessed by riding the Gondola, which is included in the price of the meal.
